A creative studio
the size of one person.

Paperclip is a one-person creative studio in Los Angeles. I handle marketing strategy, event and automotive photography, and live sound for people who actually care about what they're building.

Where the work comes from.

I spent five years on the LA Auto Show and AutoMobility LA marketing team, most recently rebuilding their entire email program from the ground up for a 200,000-person list. Before that, two and a half years at MotorTrend Group, running digital for auto shows across the country. Paperclip is what I do with all of that now, on projects I get to pick.

Setting the room.

Rolling, groovy house. Minimal tech with some weight to it. Indie dance when the night wants it. I build sets that move slow and deep rather than loud and fast, so the floor stays locked in and nobody checks the time. I've played Burning Man, regional burns, and intimate rooms where the crowd came for the music.

Paperclip also rents speakers and runs sound for events that want the system dialed in right.

03

Cars and the people.

My eye goes to the scenes most photographers skip. The Japanese classics idling at sunrise meets. The off-road rigs covered in last weekend's dust. The face in the crowd that tells you more about the event than the main stage does. I shoot automotive and live events, in LA and on the road.

How I work.

Direct, calm, and prepared. I'd rather ask the awkward question early than fix a problem later. If a project isn't my strength, I'll say so and point you somewhere better. When we work together, you're working with me, not a rotating team of associates.

Southern California is home. For the right project, I'm on a flight or loading the car.
